RRJ Chapter 20 Community Service Project, 10/13/07

Howard Henning was our Job Boss. Last year Israel was one of his students at South Jr. High, Nampa. Howard made a home visit one day and suddenly realized that this wonderful young man Israel, and his family was living in less than desirable conditions. Howard said, "The Lord instantly put it in my heart to rally the Road Riders together and help this family. "RRJ20 worked on a home that probably really needed to be torn down, but since that wasn't an option, they brought together some resources that will make it a much better environment for the family.

We, (RRJ 20) voted to do what was needed to help and improve Israel's family home. After enlisting the wonderful help and expertise of Bob Cantrell, (Integrity Ministries) we began the project on Saturday October 13, 2007.

The first step was painting the exterior of the house. The next phase will include remodeling the kitchen. (Cabinets, Counters, Moving the water heater, and possibly leveling the kitchen floor.

What an amazing blessing it is to be able to show this family and the North End of Nampa, that some one cares.

"For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."Matthew 25:35-36 NIV
