RRJ Chapter 20 Participates in the Motorcycle Awareness Rally 2007
Organizers estimate that over 1000 bikes participated in the 2007 Motorcycle Awareness Rally. We meet at Sandy Point at the base of the Lucky Peak Dam. The gathering starts late morning, about 10:30 or so. The Rally rolls around 1pm. Bikers come from all over for this. It was cool to see the different people and bikes. Enjoy the pics!
The Big Guys pose for a picture. Why is only one smiling?
Our usual business meeting was at the Golden Corral that morning. Big Bird kept it on time, then we mounted up and rode to Lucky Peak as a group.
Still gathering...
And gathering..,
About ready to roll!
At Lucky Peak. Parked and waiting patiently.
I'm from Road Riders for Jesus, and I'm here to help.
Ok, some home made trikes were here, too. Note the roll bar.
Is this what happens when a bike gets rear ended by a Bug?
This is just a small section of the parking area at Lucky.
Don and Linda Durden striking a pose.
Ken sometimes shares his opinion. He was probably riding motorcycles before most of us were born.
Can Ken strike a pose, or what.
Monroe and Pastor Kent Conrad.
Low rider trike rolling in.
A stretch of grass known as the Bermuda Triangle for keys.
Starting to roll out of the Lucky Peak Parking lot.
Tightly packed on the narrow road out of the parking area.
Just a few bikes ahead of us. Just as many behind.
The line of bikes ahead of us disappears way out there.
Finally rolling...with a police escort, you can drive on whatever side you want. Look at that line of bikes!
End of the Ride at the Washington Group parking lot. The Capitol building is under renovation so we couldn't meet there.
