RRJ Chapter 20 Polar Bear Ride for 2007
Counting both members and guests, twenty-nine bikes turned out at 10am on January 1st, 2007 at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene. The starting temperature was in the low 20's with the temperature never getting above 32 degrees. At freeway speeds, the windchill was down near zero! The foggy skies were trying to spit the occasional snow flake.
While there was only patchy, leftover, snow on the ground, overpasses and bridges were icy, some members coming in from Boise had some ice build up on both bike and rider, and light snow was seen blowing across some roads. We may have been cold, but the fellowship was good and warm for our first official gathering and ride for 2007.
